I am having constant issues with the GUI going 'dead (doesn't change presets, stops showing beat status, etc.)
It seems it is when other plug-ins are loaded (GPU issue?), closing 'Beat Scholar' and reopening it will restore it's display to 'active'...but sometimes only for a moment. It always continues to produce audio, and when I am able to restore the GUI to an active state, it appears the presets did change if I had used up/down arrows to advance preset, there was just no display change to indicate it had changed.
I am not having this issue with any other plug-ins, and when available I am turning off all 'Open GL' in any other plug-ins. 'Beat Scholar' running by itself in a session doesn't seem to have this problem, so it would seem to be how it interacts with other plug-in present. I just tried with all other plug-in's GUI's closed, and within a minute the Beat Scholar GUI was unresponsive/not updating :(
I have 10 days left on my trial, and obviously any consideration for a purchase is now put on hold until it is determined whether this can be addressed to run correctly on my system.
The plug-ins that I have been attempting to use alongside 'Beat Scholar so far have been several different 'Unfiltered Audio/Plug-in Alliance' plug-ins, FKFX plug-ins, Fab Filter, Sonible etc.
